I was emoting to someone earlier that i normally don't get to personal when i blog. I like to keep it straight funky with AUDIO. Well i guess its safe to give people insight on what fuels my Love for music+ its creation. Well for some strange reason after viewing "What's Love Got To Do With It" i immediately became intrigued with the career of Tina Turner. What was so ironic was that one day my younger brother comes with a shoe box and was like "HERE SOMEBODY WAS GONNA THROW THIS STUFF AWAY AND I KNOW YOU WOULD TAKE IT" included was a RARE 2 CD SET made in Canada of IKE&TINA's greatest hits. Some funky tunes on there. One in particular i think is soooo #FUNKY is called "SEXY IRA" but back to what i was emoting...
so that GH compilation opened me up. then came my study.
and then one day vinyl shopping on MARCH 2nd of this year ( my 25 year life mark) i went vinyl shopping and came ACROSS THESE TWO TINA VINYLS ABOVE.
'LET'S STAY TOGETHER" Let's Stay Together" her second collaboration with the British Heaven, this single served as her comeback single in late 1983,
the 2ND scan "Rough" is what CAUGHT ME MOST BY AMAZEMENT!
Rough is was third solo album, released in September 1978 -This was the first solo album she recorded without Ike Turner. This LP was recorded at the height of the disco era and so shows influences from that genre. The opening track, "Fruits of the Night", for example, was co-written Pete Bellotte [British songwriter and producer most famous for his main body of work with Donna Summer]
THIS WAS A SIGN OF INSPIRATION because the last set of music i have been creating has been heavily influenced by the Disco Era/Studio 54.
"FRUITS OF THE NIGHT" is a real sassy organic song that is out of the norm for me. But i love the lackadaisical arrangement for the verses, the soul croon disco chorus is what gets me the most. I love the funk bass and guitar. PURE AUTHENTIC MUSIC!
SO HERE'S "FRUIT OF TO NIGHT" RIPPED BY ME.
